Ranabir Samaddar is one of the consitutors of Calcutta research group and its own magazine Refugee Watch. He has been university teacher of Asiatic studies and promoter of the Peace Studies program at the South Asia Forum for Human Rights in Katmandu. He works on human rights and social equity in the contest of the postcolonial nationalism, of the migrations over the borders and communities history, minorities rights and formes of autonomy.
